Often referred to as the snowboarding capital of Europe, Morzine & Avoriaz offer some of the best terrain in the world and plenty of it.  The area is packed with natural jumps and obstacles with acres of easily accessible off-piste and powder fields.

There are numerous snowboard parks built every season around the Portes du Soleil resorts. Here's just a taste of what's on offer:

Access via the 6 seater highspeed Prolays chairlift

A new concept in snowparks imported from the USA, developed by Mr Burton, famous for his snowboards.

A fun playground, in the middle of the Lindarets forest, ideal for intermediate to advanced level snowboarders and skiers wishing to ride backcountry and freestyle together.

Technical Details:

Length – 1.3km
Total vertical descent – 470m

Wooden Obstacles: a wall for vertical sliding, logs and tree trunk obstacles, wooden tables for sliding on, jumps from paths and rocks, trees bent like rainbows, snow shock-absorbers, wooden toboggans, ramps, natural obstacles

 

NB; helmets are compulsory for many snowparks
